Final conference of the project "Strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of green transition"

The final conference of the project "Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Green Transition" took place in Satu Mare on 28th of January 28, 2025. Representatives from local public authorities, project partners, and the media participated in the event. The conference was opened by the President of the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association, Mr. Csaba Pataki, and Haakon Vennemo, representative of the Norwegian partner Vista Analyse. The program included the presentation of the project and its results, the prefeasibility study on renewable energy and energy efficiency for the Satu Mare International Airport prepared by Vista, and discussions on possible innovative and equitable green transition projects to be implemented in the near future in Satu Mare County.
The "Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Green Transition" project lasted 7 months and was funded with the support of grants provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA and Norway Financial Mechanism 2014–2021, under the "Energy Program in Romania". The project's main objective was to develop and promote measures contributing to an innovative and equitable green transition in Satu Mare County through bilateral cooperation.
Project activities included:
- the preparation of a prefeasibility study by the partner Vista Analyse AS on renewable energy and energy efficiency for the Satu Mare International Airport;
- the organization of a study visit to Norway for 10 representatives of public institutions in Satu Mare County to transfer knowledge and best practices in the field of energy efficiency and energy security.
The main medium- and long-term results of the project are:
- a prefeasibility study on renewable energy and energy efficiency for the Satu Mare International Airport;
- increased knowledge about energy efficiency and energy security for 10 representatives of public institutions in Satu Mare County.
