Magnus holds an MSc in economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. There he has acquired a wide and deep understanding of topics such as economic growth, dynamic macroeconomics and applied econometrics. He also holds BSc in economics from the same university, that includes a support profile in political science. This has provided him with good knowledge of public policy and administration, globalization and geopolitical risk.
Magnus’ master thesis was written in cooperation with the Local Bank Alliance, where he used fixed effects to study the empirical relationship between the default rates of the member banks and regional and national macroeconomic factors. He also has experience with the loaning- and debt market other than from his education, as he worked as a consultant for debtors at the debt collection agency Intrum.
Additionally, Magnus has been an intern in the department of real estate analysis at Oslobygg KF, where he participated in an interdisciplinary project analyzing the quality of outside areas in Oslo’s kindergartens. This has provided him with experience in other valuable methods such as case studies and interviews.
With his education and experience Magnus is highly analytical when faced with demanding tasks. He can handle and analyze large datasets and is also practically familiar with more qualitative approaches. Magnus communicates well and is precise both in writing and orally.
