Vista Analysis has been awarded new framework agreements with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Oslo, 08.03.2021

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has entered into new framework agreements to cover their needs for research assistance. The framework agreement shall cover the research needs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassies, and underlying agencies.

Vista Analyse participates in two consortia that have now entered into four-year framework agreements with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Under the leadership of Statistics Norway, including both their research department and their international section, we will cover the subject areas of trade, tax, corruption, and economics.

Vista Analysis works broadly with international economic issues. We perform benefit-cost analyses of political and administrative instruments and measures, and study economic mechanisms of importance for meeting the sustainability goals. We prepare macroeconomic projections for different countries, and study how petroleum revenues can be phased into the countries' economies without the rest of the economy suffering. We also work with issues around taxation, including transfer pricing, and set up models that demonstrate the total taxation ("government take") in situations where several ministries have instruments of a taxing nature. All these subject areas are relevant within this framework agreement.

The Research Institute CICERO leads a consortium where Vista Analyse together with the Norwegian Institute for Water Research and the Norwegian Centre for Law of the Sea will cover the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' R&D needs within the subject areas climate, ocean, environment, food systems and green energy.

In this framework agreement, we will use our extensive expertise in climate, environment, energy, and change.

The agreements show that Vista Analysis is a central research institute with extensive activities at a high professional level, also outside of Norway's borders.
