Vista Analyse has participated in conferences on energy efficiency in school buildings in Poland
Oslo, 09.04.2024
Vista Analyse, together with the Polish company Chartari, contributes to two projects on energy efficiency in Kazimierz Biskupi and Kołaczkowo in Poland. The projects involve in-depth thermomodernisation of the schools, which will solve the problem of low thermal insulation, the lack of airtightness of the elements of the school building, the problem of a faulty central heating and domestic hot water, and also includes an application of a system of photovoltaic panels producing electricity for the building's own purposes. The heat pumps will replace the old gas- and coal driven heating systems in school, and the PV panels will supply clean energy, reducing the emissions from energy use in these schools.
The two projects are financed 70% from the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme funds, of which 85% comes from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) and 15% from the Polish state budget. Norway contributes to 95 % of the EEA and Norway Grants.
The two projects are now being concluded, and Vista Analyse was recently in Poland to participate in the final conferences in Kołaczkowo and Kazimiers Biskupi. Vista Analyse’s role in the project has been to contribute to the educational and informational campaign to raise awareness on climate change and renewable energy sources, and Herman Ringdal presented the written reports from Vista Analyse, which document how these projects support Kołaczkowo and Kazimiers Biskupi to become sustainable and healthy communes, how these project support EU and Poland’s commitments to mitigate climate change, Poland’s energy strategy and transition away from coal, and United Nation’s development goals.
